The Louisiana Supreme Court appointed SLLS attorneys Mark Moreau, Bernadette D'Souza and Lisa Stansky to its new Pro Se Litigant Task Force. This group will examine the situation of self-represented litigants and offer recommendations regarding what can be done to help them. 

Ms. Stansky is the statewide website coordinator for www.lawhelp.org/la, which provides free legal information for low-income people, and for www.probono.net/la, an online resource for pro bono and public interest advocates.

Ms. D'Souza is the managing attorney of our New Orleans Family Law Unit and the current Chair of a statewide Family Law Task Force.

Mr. Moreau is our Co-Director, the author or editor of nine of the 12 chapters of the Louisiana Legal Services and Pro Bono Desk Manual, and the author of many client education materials on our LawHelp website.
