Jauna Crear has been named as our Pro Bono Counsel to coordinate Katrina volunteer attorneys and law students.
Ms. Crear is a graduate of Tulane University Law School; she also received her Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University. She has studied organizational engineering at Georgia Tech University, and she has a Bachelor of Science from Xavier University.
Ms. Crear is a member of the Louisiana and Texas state bars, and she has worked as a law clerk for the Louisiana Supreme Court and the Orleans Parish Civil District Court. She has been the Chief Operating Officer of a 50-employee corporation.
At Georgia Tech, Ms. Crear was the Volunteer Coordinator for about 100 volunteers who mentored disadvantaged children.
As our Pro Bono Counsel, Ms. Crear is available to meet and speak with volunteers who are interested in working in the Greater New Orleans area with our organization or with other non-profit legal services providers.

Since Katrina, SLLS and NOLAC have had more than 100 attorneys and 400 law clerks work on legal problems for the hurricane's victims and survivors.
